Graham, Marc Alan
Marc Alan Graham, 35, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2011. Memorial services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids.
Marc was born Sept. 17, 1975, in Vinton, the son of Roger and Patricia (Smith) Graham. As a child Marc liked golfing, bowling, football, basketball and baseball. Marc graduated in 1995 from Prairie High School, where he played varsity baseball. As an adult Marc was a die-hard fan of the Chicago Cubs, Kansas City Chiefs and Iowa Hawkeye football. Marc enjoyed camping in the summer with friends and at different times in his life walked with Bill W.
Marc is survived by his mother, Pat (Tom) Malatek of Ely; father, Roger (Janet) Graham of Johannesburg, South Africa; and a sister, Theresa (Matt) Mineart of Cedar Rapids. Marc loved and was loved by his nieces, Megan and Alexandrea Mineart. Other survivors include his grandmother, Dorothy Smith of Bancroft; stepsister, Tina Bellar of Norfolk, Neb.; stepbrother, Stacy Krog of Norfolk, Neb.; aunts and uncles, Louise (Larry) Fisher of Swea City, Geneva (Mitch) Friedow of Ankeny, Denise (Ron) Struck of Storm Lake, Pam (Danny) Sweeney of Stone City, Billy Herren of Whittier, Pat (Gloria) Malatek, Lois (Lloyd) Cooling, Sheryl (Alan) Tjelmeland and Sue (Jess) Schulte, all of Ely, and their families.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Bruce and Inez Graham and Omar Smith.
