Graham, Francis 'Frank'
Francis “Frank” Graham, 90, of Cedar Rapids, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, in St. Luke's Hospital, Cedar Rapids, from complications of Alzheimer's disease. Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids, by the Rev. Del Bear. Friends may call one hour before the service Monday at the funeral home. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Military honors will be provided.
Survivors include his wife, Opal; their children, Sandra Wills, Vicki (Gene) Callender, Al (Jan) Graham and Cathy (Steve) Boardman; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; 10 brothers; one sister; and his son-in-law, Robert Wills.
Born August 5, 1919, in Douglas, Neb., Frank was the 10th of 12 children of Walter and Laura (Havener) Graham. Frank served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II in the 566 Quarter Master Railhead Company. On Sept. 17, 1947, he was united in marriage to Opal Maw. In 1983, Frank retired after 26 years as a State Farm Insurance agent.
A memorial fund has been established in Frank's memory.
