Grady, Tim C.
Tim C. Grady, 59, of Iowa City, died Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at Briarwood Care Center in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 13, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the funeral home, concluding with a prayer service at 7 p.m.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Iowa City Animal Shelter, Johnson County Heritage Trust or Essence of Life Hospice (Amana).

Timothy C. Grady was born June 13, 1953, in Iowa City, son of Timothy E. and Vivian M. (Kern) Grady. He attended Regina High School and the University of Iowa. On May 30, 1981, he married Patricia Swails in Iowa City. He was employed for over 30 years at Oscar Meyer-Kraft Foods until 2007, when he ended his career as a maintenance supervisor.
Tim was an avid supporter of the Iowa Hawkeyes, a season-ticket holder and I-Club member for over 30 years. He was also a longtime member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Iowa City. Tim enjoyed watching NASCAR, the Packers and the Yankees and also enjoyed time spent outside golfing, fishing or on his motorcycle.
Tim's family includes his wife, Patricia; sons, Tim Grady of San Francisco, Calif., and Ryan Grady of Boston, Mass.; siblings, Kay Nora (Jack) of San Jose, Calif., Dan Grady (Nancy) of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Jerry Grady (Sheila) of Des Moines; as well as numerous aunts and uncles, including his aunt Jackie of Iowa City.
He was especially proud of his two sons who have both obtained their postgraduate degrees within this last year!
Tim was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents.
