Grace Luella Lamparek,
91, of Swisher, died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017, at St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids, surrounded by her family. Celebration of Life services will be at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 31, at Brosh Chapel & The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling St. SW. Burial will follow in Castek Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids.
Grace was born Aug. 24, 1926, in Shueyville, the daughter of Charles and Martha (Fuhrmeister) Kroul. Grace was united in marriage to Leonard Lamparek on May 28, 1947, in Cedar Rapids. Grace and Leonard farmed and operated a trucking company near Swisher for many years.
She enjoyed mowing, tending to the flowers, birds and garden, painting, going out to eat, taking trips to town, and most of all, spending time with her family.
Grace is survived by her son, Kevin (Sara) Lamparek, and her daughter, Ronda (Ron) McNeal, both of Swisher; four grandchildren, Michael (Kim) See, Michelle (Bob) Foss, Nick Lamparek and Scott Lamparek; one great-grandson, Cody See; stepgrandchildren, Shelly (Kurt) McNeal, Rodney (Emily) McNeal and Brian (Tammi) McNeal; as well as several nieces and nephews; and her brother-in-law, Leo Lamparek of Cedar Rapids.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard Lamparek; and her son, Kaye Lamparek.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
