Grace, John William 'Bill'
John William “Bill” Grace, 74, longtime Tiffin resident, died at home Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012. In accordance with Bill's wishes, no public services will be held. A family service will take place at a later time.

John William Grace was born Jan. 14, 1938, in Iowa City, son of Francis and Doris (Berfield) Grace. He graduated from Iowa City High School and served for a time in the Iowa National Guard. Bill married Betty Small on June 6, 1959, at the Grace United Methodist Church in Tiffin, where they raised their family and resided ever since. Bill was a past president of the Clear Creek School Board and when working, was an excavating contractor and had been involved in many projects in the Johnson County area over the years.
Bill's family included his wife, Betty; son, John Grace (Tina) of Tiffin; daughter, Elizabeth Litwiller (Mike) of Parnell; grandchildren, Alyssa Tjader (Fredrik) of Sweden and Grace and Zachary Litwiller; brother, Robert Grace of Arizona; and sisters, Mary Ellen Edwards (Bob) and Julia Chalmers both of Iowa City.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, William Chalmers; and sister-in-law, Billy Grace.
Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service in Iowa City is caring for Bill's family and his services.
