Grace Hines, 94, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Friday, Aug. 3, 2018, at Winslow House Nursing Home, Marion. Private family burial: Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids. Arrangements by Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include her daughters, Karen Abbott and Pat (Steve) Freeman; grandchildren, Jeff Abbott, and Jennifer McBurney and Joshua Freeman; and six great-grandchildren.
Grace Pearl Roberts was born April 24, 1924, to Clarence and Caroline Roberts in New York. She married Harvey Hines on Aug. 17, 1940, in Oelwein, Iowa. They went camping on weekends for many years and took their daughters on annual vacations, visiting all of the states west of the Mississippi River. Grace's favorite hobby was to crochet.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and granddaughter, Angela Marti.
