Grace was born April 30, 1920, in Cosgrove, the daughter of Cyril and Sara (Meade) Rohret. She was a graduate of Cosgrove High School. She married Raymond Greazel on April 24, 1941, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Cosgrove. Together they farmed west of Solon, where they raised their family. She was a member of St. Mary's of Solon and Helping Hands. She enjoyed tending to her huge vegetable and flower gardens. Later, she worked seasonally at ACT in Iowa City for more than 25 years.
She loved playing bingo, playing cards with the girls and dancing at Danceland, Walford and Armar Ballroom, with a group of special friends. She liked to bake and there were always cookies for the grandkids or anyone else who stopped by.
Grace is survived by her children, Shirley Flansburg, Gene (Brenda) Greazel, Tom (Jane) Greazel and Ron Greazel, all of Solon, and Gary Greazel of Marion; 10 grandchildren, Jeff (Kristi) Flansburg, Joe (Mary) Flansburg, Shannon Greazel, Stephanie (Mike) Penaluna, Shana (Dustin) Johnson, Lance Greazel, Luke (Nikki) Greazel, Lane Greazel, Curt Greazel and Chris Greazel; 15 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Earlis Rohret and James (Trish) Rohret, both of Cosgrove; and many nieces and nephews.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sisters, Rebecca Miller and Bernice Dvorsky; brothers-in-law, Richard Dvorsky and Ralph Miller; and a sister-in-law, Lucy Rohret.
In lieu of flowers, memorials contributions may be made to Hospice of Iowa City or to St. Mary's Catholic Church of Solon.
