Gorsh, Ronald G. (Frank)
Ronald G. (Frank) Gorsh, 54, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, June 25, 2012, at the Hospice House of Mercy, Hiawatha, Iowa. A gathering will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. A memorial service celebrating Ron's life will be held at 1 p.m. Friday at the Cedar Memorial Chapel of Memories. Chaplain Joseph Kane of Hospice of Mercy will officiate. Please bring favorite photos and or treasured memories to share.
He is survived by his wife, Karen of Cedar Rapids; son, Ross (Sandy) Naughton of Marion; mother, Janelle Gorsh of Cedar Rapids; sister, Linda Gorsh of Cedar Rapids; brother, Michael (Heather) Gorsh of Brandon; mother-in-law, Margaret Myers of Des Moines; sister-in-law, Linda Myers of McAllen, Texas; brother-in-law, David (Dawn) Myers of Sibley; niece, Beth Myers of Denver, Colo.; and nephew, Luke Myers of Sioux City.
He was preceded in death by his father, Eugene Gorsh in 2011; and infant brother, Scott Gorsh.
Ronald Guy Gorsh was born March 17, 1958, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, the son of Eugene and Janelle (Rogers) Gorsh. He graduated from Jefferson High School, he was a member of Local #125 Plumbers/Pipe Fitters Union, enjoyed fishing, being outdoors and his cats.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent in his name to the Hospice House of Mercy, 315 18th Ave, Hiawatha, IA 52233.
