Goedken, Edna Mae Fischer
Edna Mae Fischer Goedken, 88, of Lamont, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2010, at the Good Neighbor Home, Manchester, following a lengthy illness.
Services: 10:30 a.m. Monday, Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Masonville. Burial: St. Albert's Cemetery, Lamont. Friends may call from 1 to 6 p.m. Sunday Fawcett Funeral Home, Lamont, and until 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
She is survived by her five daughters, Teresa (Charles) Petersen of Cedar Falls, Agatha (James) Olson of Lansing, Jane (David) McCubbin of Manchester, Karen (Robert) Myrton of Winthrop, and Mary (Larry) Hansel of Manchester; eight sons, Daniel (Mary) Goedken of Oelwein, Roger (Joni) Goedken of Winthrop, Jerry (Pat) Goedken of Cedar Rapids, Ralph (Janet) Goedken of Lamont, Leon (Evelyn) Goedken of Lamont, Frank (Bonnie) Goedken of Lamont, Dean (Nancy) Goedken of Winthrop, and Jeffrey (Lisa) Goedken of Lamont; 38 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ambrose Fischer of Edgewood, Lyle Fischer of Strawberry Point, and Richard Fischer of Janesville, Wis.; and one sister, Agnes Fettkether of Oelwein.
