Gloria V. Bockwoldt, 83, of Wilton, died Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2016, at her home.
Gloria was born to Eddie and Verna (Lilienthal) Wulf in Davenport, Iowa, on Sept. 14, 1933. She graduated eighth grade from Palistine Country School, then later from Wilton High School in 1951. Gloria married Rolland C. Bockwoldt on April 4, 1953, in Wilton. He preceded her in death on Jan. 8, 2016. Together, Gloria and Rolland farmed the family farm, where she was born and raised, in Cedar County for 60 years.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, at Bentley Funeral Home in Durant, where the funeral service will be Monday, Sept. 26, at 10:30 a.m. Burial will take place at Durant Cemetery, Durant.
She is survived and lovingly remembered by her son, Steven (Terri) Bockwoldt of Wilton; her daughters, Susan (Terry) Duwa of Lone Tree, Sandra Caes (Bob Glenney) of Durant and Sharon (Mark) Niles of Tipton; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Gloria was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Memorials may be made to the Durant Cemetery Association or Wilton First Responders in her memory.
