Glick, Barbara Lee
Barbara Lee Glick, 63, died Friday, Nov. 26, 2010, at Willow Gardens Care Center in Marion. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 30, at Goettsch Funeral Home in Anamosa. The Rev. Laurie Riley will officiate at the service. Friends may call from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Interment will be at Riverside Cemetery in Anamosa.
Surviving are her husband, Lonnie; her mother, Shirley of Olin; her children, Kris (John) Linvell of Anamosa, Steve (Christy Lawson) Janssen of Gatesville, Texas, Darrell (Rhonda) Janssen of Wilton, Kevin (Erin) Janssen of Alamagorda, N.M., and Gary (Kristy McCarty) Parmenter of Springville; six sisters, Judy (Tim) Sargent of Olin, Wendy (Doug) Bieber of Anamosa, Elaine (Terry) Marsh of Anamosa, Denise (Clinton) Philips of Anamosa, Lisa (Kevin Holmes) Smith of Anamosa and Nancy (Joe) Chamberlin of Olin; a brother, George (Deb) Smith of Cedar Rapids; 14 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Lowell Smith; a sister, Terry Burgess; and a niece, Heidi.
Barbara Lee Smith was born Dec. 29, 1946, in Anamosa, Iowa. She was the daughter of Lowell and Shirley Ruth (Carpenter) Smith. Barbara attended school in Anamosa. She was a member of the Methodist Church in Anamosa for more than 40 years.
She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend and will be missed dearly by those closest to her.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the family.
