Glenn “Peanuts” Leroy Grimm, 87, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, September 1, 2024, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Cedar Rapids. A Celebration of Life will be held from 3:00-6:00 p.m., on Friday, September 6, 2024, at Just Jules, Cedar Rapids. Private family Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Glenn was born on January 10, 1937, in Millersburg, Iowa, the son of Harold and Ida (Erue) Grimm. He was united in marriage to Doris Johnson on August 29, 1959.
Glenn served in the United States Army. He worked as a truck driver for Wholesale Feeds, Rock Island Millwork, and owned and operated Peanuts Construction. Glenn was a jokester who loved to make people laugh. He enjoyed playing softball, cards, spending time with his family and friends, and having an Old Milwaukee with salt on the rim.
Glenn is survived by his children, Kim (Jerry) Levitan, Tim Grimm, Teri Grimm, Trent Grimm, Keri (Larry) Pilcher, Kristi (Robert) O’Shea, Kammi Grimm, and Tammi (Matthew) Lewis; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and brother, Norman (Lorraine) Grimm.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, wife, son, Kent Grimm; and brother, Russell Grimm.
