GLENN CHRYSTAL

Glenn H. Chrystal, 91, of Manchester, passed away Thursday, March 6, 2014, at the Good Neighbor Home in Manchester. Memorial Services will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 10, at Bohnenkamp-Murdoch Funeral & Cremation Services in Manchester by the Rev. Mary Green. Visitation will be before services Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will be at a later date.
Glenn was born Sept. 12, 1922, in Ryan, Iowa, the son of Frank and Aola (Burnside) Chrystal. On Aug. 11, 1956, Glenn was united in marriage to Joyce Herren in Marion. Glenn was a "steward of the soil" and farmed in the Manchester area until retirement. They were members of the Country Cousins Square Dance Club and Wild Rose Ramblers Camping Club.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Joyce of Man-chester; a daughter, Darla Golden; a grandson, Luke Conrad; a brother, Alton Chrystal; and a son-in-law, Mahlon Conrad.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Marcia Conrad; a son, Scott Chrystal; and two brothers, Lewis and Gordon Chrystal.
Memorials may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association.
