Glenda Sue Stoll passed away peacefully on Tuesday, Nov. 22, 2022, at UnityPoint-St. Luke’s Hospital in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, surrounded by her family. Memorial Service: 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 27, 2022, at The Legacy Center at Murdoch-Linwood in Cedar Rapids, with visitation to begin one hour prior.
Glenda was born on March 6, 1944, the daughter of Henry and Anna (Conrad) Brown at their home in Owensboro, Ky. She married Parnell Etteldorf on Oct. 26, 1963. Together, they had three daughters, Shelly, Carrie, and Angela. The couple later divorced.
On Sept. 19, 1997, she married Joe Stoll. They recently celebrated their 25th Wedding Anniversary. Glenda worked in the printing industry throughout her life. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, shopping on QVC, going to the casino with Joe, traveling to Branson and going back home to Kentucky. The true love of her life was spending time with her family and of course her dogs, Midge and Gus.
Glenda is survived by her husband, Joe; daughters, Carrie (Mark) Reilly and Angela (Steve) Schoenfeld; stepdaughters, Michelle (Mike Havlik) Lochner, Kris (Brent) Rule and Jessi Stoll; grandchildren, Marissa (Jason Hefel) Yorgensen, Raigan and Carson Reilly, Alexis and Alison Peckenschneider; great-grandchildren, Hayden, Niles, Jameson; stepgrandchildren, Nic, Levi, Kaleb, Tyler (Melissa), Alec, Xander, Zayden, Julia, Sophia, Ilise, Lexi, and Jaime; several nieces and a nephew; and extended family in Kentucky.
She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Faye and Fred; daughter, Shelly in July of 2022; grandchildren, Ethan and Nathan; and stepgrandchild, Spenser.
The family would like to thank Dr. Ann Soenen, Dr. Keith Kopec and the staff at UnityPoint-St. Luke’s Hospital ICU for their wonderful and compassionate care.
