GLADYS MAE FELTES

Gladys Mae Feltes, 86, passed away peacefully Sept. 27, 2016, at Manor Care, Cedar Rapids. Memorial Celebration: 4 p.m. Monday, Oct. 3, at Murdoch Funeral Home, Center Point. Visitation: 3 p.m. until service time.
Gladys was born April 5, 1930, to Raymond and Leona Feltes in Monticello, Iowa. Gladys spent most of her working years deburring at Rex and Quik Way Manufacturing before retiring in Center Point.
In Center Point, she found new friends and could be found chatting and dining at Pizza Place, Susie's or the Family Table, or treasure hunting at thrift stores.
Her wonderful neighbors, the Stuelke family, adopted her into their family. She was delighted to take on a new position of providing child care for their two sons, Ian and Jonathan, for several years. They brought so much joy and laughter to her life.
She is survived by her beloved niece, Monique Damuth of Helena, Mont.; nephews, Ron of Cedar Rapids and Terry Feltes; and niece, Tina.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her only brother, William E. Feltes.
