Gladys M. Corkery, 88, of Independence, died, Tuesday, May 27, 2014, at the Buchanan County Health Center, Independence.
Funeral services will be
at 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 30, at St. John's Catholic Church, Independence. Burial will follow at St. John's Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. Thursday at White Funeral Home, Independence, with a 3 p.m. parish rosary and 7:30 p.m. vigil service. Visitation will continue for one hour before the funeral Friday at the funeral home.
Memorials will be directed to the Cedar Valley Hospice, Camp Courageous of Iowa and to St. John's Catholic Church.
