Giovanazzi, Isabelle E.
Isabelle E. Giovanazzi, 82, of Cedar Rapids, died Aug. 15, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital. Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 18, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, with the Rev. William B. Harnish officiating. Visitation will be held from 5 to 8 p.m.Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery.
Surviving are her children, Sandra K. Zahn and husband Rick of Cedar Rapids and Sally A. Cook and husband Thomas of Ozark, Mo.; her grandchildren, Brandon (Jessica) Cook, Sara (Alex Abel) Cook and Zachary Zahn; her great-grandchildren, Samantha Ralls and Amelia Cook; her brother, Donald Webster and wife Mary of Cedar Rapids; as well as many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Isabelle was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Robert “Bobby Jo”; her son, Steven G. Giovanazzi; and 11 brothers and sisters.
Isabelle Elsie Giovanazzi was born June 15, 1930, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Leslie L. and Mabel (Wenger) Webster. She was united in marriage to Robert “Bobby Jo” Giovanazzi on Feb. 20, 1952. Bobby Jo preceded her in death in 2005. She was employed for many years at Turner Microphone and later at Mid American Alarm.
Isabelle enjoyed crocheting, taking care of others and time on her computer. Her greatest delight was being with her family and her kitten, Charlie, who she dearly loved.
She will be greatly missed.
Memorial donations in Isabelle's honor may be directed to the Cedar Valley Humane Society.
