Gilda V. Six, of Iowa City, passed away Dec. 5 at the Oaknoll Healthcare Center. Born in Brazil, she eventually moved to Iowa City with her family. She established a unique Scandinavian import store, Gilda Imports.
Gilda's family gratefully thanks the professional and compassionate Oaknoll Healthcare Center staff for the excellent care she received for 14 years.
She is survived by daughter, Vera (Peter); grandchildren, Eric (Amanda), Nicholas, Katrina and Sonya; and great-grandsons Asher and Emmeric.
A memorial service will be held in the spring of 2022. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Oaknoll Foundation, or Hancher (Hancher Circle Fund).
