GILBERT ROEMIG Middle Amana Gilbert Roemig, 91, died Wednesday, May 13, 2015, at Colonial Manor of Amana. Funeral service: 10 a.m. Saturday, May 16, Kloster Funeral Home, Marengo, with Pastor Larry Dollmeyer officiating. Burial will be in the West Amana Cemetery with military honors conducted by the Marengo American Legion No. 76 and U.S. Army Honor Guard. Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, May 15, at the funeral home. Memorials may be contributed to Essence of Life Hospice or Colonial Manor of Amana. He is survived by a brother, Theodore "Junior" (Jane) of St. Louis, Mo.; a sister-in-law, Sandra Ludovissy (Curt) of Amana; a nephew, Jason Ludovissy (Jewel) of Amana, and their daughter, Gisele; and two nieces, Linda McAlister and Teri Smith of Missouri. He was preceded in death by his parents, Theodore and Frieda Kraus Roemig; his wife, Mary Lou Ehrmann Roemig in 2011; and a brother, Ralph and his wife Pauline.
