Gifford, Joshua Wayne
Joshua Wayne Gifford, 32, of Bernard (Leisure Lake), died Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Mercy Medical Center, Dubuque, from heart failure. The family will greet friends from 5:30 until 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Morgan Funeral and Cremation Choices, Mount Vernon, followed by a Celebration of Life ceremony at 6:30 p.m.
Surviving Josh are his wife, Susan Dunkel, and their children, Hunter and Destiny Gifford, all of Bernard; his mother, Sandi Jongsma, and brother, Travis Jongsma, both of Dubuque; two half sisters, Alexa Henik of Lisbon and Sunset, and five half brothers, Timothy, Gator, Stoney, Prairie and Thunder Gifford, all of Des Moines; paternal grandma, Goldie (Bruce) Scott of Missouri; and maternal grandfather, Kay Don (Carol) Krumroy of Mechanicsville.
Preceding him in death were his father, Timothy Gifford; and grandmother, Pauline (Eldon) Hansen.
Joshua was born Nov. 5, 1978, in Cedar Rapids. He was employed by C & C Fencing of Zwingle.
