Gertrude M. Kruse, 91, died Saturday, Oct. 4, 2014, at Cedar Manor Nursing Home, Tipton. Funeral
services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 7, at Fry Funeral Home, Tipton. Burial will follow in Sharon Cemetery, rural Wilton. Visitation will be from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6, at the funeral home.

Gertrude was born Dec. 3, 1922, in Cedar County near Wilton, Iowa, the daughter of Paul Henry and Emma Augusta Busch Kruse. She attended Cedar County schools.
She was a member of Peace Church of Christ United in Bennett, the BPW for many years, past director of the Congregate Meals in Bennett, and was an Avon representative and sales manager for 35 years.
Gertrude was a caregiver to her father and uncle for 20 years.
Gertrude is survived by her sister, Margaret Johnston of Tipton; brother-in-law, Donald Heizer of Staunton, Va.; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Louise Heizer; brother, John Busch; sister-in-law, Mary Busch; brother-in-law, Donald Johnston; and nephew, Tom Heizer.
