GERRY "GARY" BRITCHER

Gerry "Gary" Britcher, 77, of Tucson, Ariz., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Nov. 21, 2014, at Tucson Medical Center in Tucson. As per Gerry's wishes, there will be no service. A private immediate family
gathering will be Wednesday, Nov. 26.
Survivors include his wife, Susie; children, Lorna, Scott, Brent (Julie) and Kirk; sisters, Laura Oberholser and Becky (Curt) Long; grandchildren, Amy (Felix) Castillo, Shannon (Matt) Burmeister, Zachary, Jaidenn, Josh, Brittney, Logan and Jacob; great-grandchildren, Trey, Karsen, Kael and Kaden; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Cheryl; son, Kory; the mother of his children, Jean; and siblings, Zeke, Henry, Billy, Harry and Margaret.
Gerry was born Feb. 19, 1937, the son of Myron and Galilee (Moore) Britcher. He grew up in Clarence and moved to Cedar Rapids.
He was at one time employed at Dale Lee Distributors and DOE Beverages. He retired to Tucson in 1990.
He enjoyed desert gardening with his faithful companion, Duke.
He was a lifetime diehard fan of the Cubs, Bears, Bulls and Iowa Hawkeyes.
