Geraldine L. Pearson, 97, passed away on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. A private service is being planned for a later date. Teahen Funeral Home and Cremation are assisting the family.
Geraldine was born on Jan. 16, 1924, near Ollie, daughter of Gerald and Edna Sipes Bottger. She married Donald L. Pearson on Oct. 26, 1941.
Geraldine had two daughters, Sandra McMains (deceased) and Dianne (Michael) Karal of Cedar Rapids; two granddaughters, Donita Naumowicz of Milwaukee, Wis., and Darcy McMains of Hiawatha; and two great-grandsons, Tyler Naumowicz and Austin McMains.
Her husband of 33 years, Donald, a World War II veteran, preceded her in death on June 14, 1975.
Geraldine was active at Union Chapel Church, near Fremont, where she was a member for 44 years. She was a talented seamstress and loved spending time with her family.
