Geraldine Joan (Sievert) Stout, 83, of Cedar Rapids, passed from this life into eternal life to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 21, 2024. Her final days were spent in Marion, surrounded by her loving family. Memorial Visitation will be at 3:00 pm on October 4, 2024, followed by the Celebration of Life Service at 4:00 pm at River of Life Church, 3801 Blairs Ferry Rd NE, Cedar Rapids, IA 52402.
Joan, also known as Jo, was born on July 23,1941, in Keswick, IA, to Paul and Hazel (Gorsh) Sievert, but was raised in Keota, IA.
Joan is survived by her daughter Lori Owens, her grandchildren Eric, Sharayah and Jonathan Owens, her brother Richard Sievert and his wife Cynthia, her brother-in-law Robert Heckart, and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded into death by her parents, her sister Gladys “Marie” Heckart, three nephews, and her previous husband Lester, whom she always loved.
Memorial donations may be directed to the family, Bridgehaven in Cedar Rapids, IA or River of Life Church in Cedar Rapids, IA.
