GERALDINE MARY EASKER
Cedar Rapids
Geraldine Mary Easker, 94, was born Dec. 25, 1922, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Charles and Emily Easker. She died June 28, 2017, in Garland, Texas.
Geraldine lived in Cedar Rapids most of her life until she moved to Garland in December 2006 to live with her daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Larry Kuenzi. In July 2015, she moved into a care facility, Springfield Senior Care, where she resided at her passing.
Geraldine worked for 43 years at Rockwell International/Rockwell Collins in Cedar Rapids until her retirement in 1993. She was a dedicated employee in the accounting department and very seldom missed a day of work for any reason.
She was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids.
Geraldine also was known as Gerre and most recently, Ge Ge, in honor of being a great-grandmother.
Geraldine was preceded in death by her father, Charles; her mother, Emily; her brother, Chuck; sisters, Bernice (Easker) Smith and Mildred (Easker) Sladek; and her daughter, Jackie Kuenzi.
She is survived by son-in-law, Larry Kuenzi of Garland; grandsons, Brian Kuenzi of Dallas and Blake Kuenzi of Norman, Okla.; as well as Blake's wife, Emily, and children, Cooper and Kendall. She also is survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family will hold a celebration of Geraldine's fabulous life with a graveside service at Czech National Cemetery at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 22.
