Gerald “Jerry” Allen Houts, 81, of Alburnett, Iowa, passed away on Thursday, November 23, 2023, at Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa. In agreement with his wishes, cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, November 30, 2023, at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Marion, Iowa. Memorial services will begin at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, December 1, 2023, at the funeral home, with Pastor Todd Holman officiating. A private committal will take place at a later date at Lafayette Cemetery in Alburnett.
