Gerald Dean "Jerry" Bixby, 75, of Marion, Iowa, passed away peacefully in his home Feb. 5, 2021.
Per his wishes, he has been cremated. A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Cedar Memorial is assisting with arrangements.
Jerry was born Sept. 24, 1945, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, to Darrell and Kathleen (Adams) Bixby. Jerry enlisted in the U.S. Navy at 17 and proudly served his country.
He enjoyed fishing, being outdoors and having breakfast with brothers. He was a member of the American Legion.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister-in-law, Linda.
He is survived by his sons, Robert (Mary) Bixby and Shane (Erin) Bixby; grandchildren, Aaron, Mitchel, Morgan and Kaitlin; and brothers, Buss Bixby, Jim (Deb) Bixby and Dave (Sun) Bixby.
