Georgene (Iles) Robb peacefully passed away the morning of Oct. 7, 2015, in Longmont, Colo., at the age of 94.
She was born Nov. 2, 1920, to George and Barbara (Allan) Iles of Craig, Colo. She married Wm. John Robb II on Dec. 13, 1942, at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Denver, Colo. She lived most of her married life in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, and was active in PEO and a patron of the Cedar Rapids Symphony. Georgene worked occasionally for Frank Magid Associates in Marion, Iowa.
She was well known for being a gracious hostess at her home for family and community events and for the many programs that she did for different organizations. Georgene was very creative and artistic and enjoyed her many volunteer positions in the community. In 1996, she was awarded the state of Iowa Governor's Volunteer Award and the Phi Beta Kappa Society Award in 2006 for her leadership and uncommon dedication to advancing the liberal arts and sciences.
