George E. Wells, 87, of Iowa City, died Tuesday, Jan. 17, 2017, at Lantern Park Nursing and Rehab Center in Coralville.
Visitation will be from 1 to 2:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service, followed by a graveside service in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in his memory to the Iowa City Animal Shelter.
His family includes his siblings, John Wells (Carolyn) of Iowa City, Anna Baker (Bob) of Wagoner, Okla., and Susan Wells of Iowa City; four nieces and nephews; two great-nieces and great-nephews; and three great-great- nieces and great-great-nephews.
George was preceded in death by his parents, Gilbert and Rosa Wells; and two brothers, Delmar Wells and Emery Wells.
