GEORGE MCCONNELL
Hartwick
George McConnell, 80, of Hartwick, died Monday, Oct. 24, 2016, at Brooklyn Community Estates in Brooklyn, Iowa. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 27, at Victor Baptist Church. A luncheon will follow the service. Graveside rites will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Hartwick Cemetery. The family will be present at Smith Funeral Home in Victor from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday.
Survivors include his wife, Joan McConnell of Hartwick; his children, Kim (Lynn) Sleeuwenhoek of Hartwick, Karen (Mark) Dursky of Victor, Bill (Pam) McConnell of King George, Va., and Marcia (Joe) Simmons of Victor; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one brother, Bob Kolwyck of Germantown, Tenn.
Memorials may be made to Autism Speaks or East Iowa Bible Camp in Deep River.
