Tama
George "Cleon" Kriegel, 70, of Tama, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2015, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City. Services are 10:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 28, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Tama, with Father Mike Mescher officiating. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the church, with a Scripture wake service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will continue one hour before the service at the church on Monday. Burial will take place at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Tama.

G. Cleon was born Sept. 10, 1945, to George and Ellen (Loftin) Kriegel in Deep River, Iowa. He graduated from BGM High School. Following high school he went to work doing concrete and masonry work until he started his own business, Kriegel Masonry Construction. On May 4, 1969, Cleon married Carol Tomlinson. Following her passing, he married Margaret Schott on Nov. 28, 1970, in Brooklyn, Iowa.
Cleon was a collector of farm toys – he was an original vender at the Dyersville toy show. He enjoyed swap meets, garage sales, going to different farmers markets for fresh baked goods and camping.
G. Cleon is survived by his children, Curt (Janet) Kriegel, Lonnie Kriegel (Debbie Smith) and Missy Kriegel, all of Tama; two dogs, Buddy and Scooby; and many more loving family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two wives, Carol and Margaret; and brother, Carroll Kriegel.
