George E. Davis Sr., of East Troy, Wis., passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his wife and children on September 22, 2024 at the age of 83. George was united in marriage with Karen E. Davis (nee Herschinger) the girl whom he knew since kindergarten on January 1, 1961 in Nashua, IA. They were blessed with three children, George (Christine) Davis Jr., Lori (Kelly) Carty, and the late Rick Davis; 6 grandchildren, Elizabeth (Jay) Sell, Brandon (Heather) Davis, Joelle (Jason) Schuhmacher, Logan (Meredith) Davis, Ryan Carty, and Donovan (Maggie) Carty; 9 great-grandchildren, a daughter-in-law Linda Davis, and a sister Carol Ann Davis. He was preceded by his parents Kenneth and Bernice Davis.
George’s first loves were spending time with his family and going fishing. He loved the outdoors, hunting, target shooting and golfing. Many hours were also spent playing pool, bowling and woodworking. He was a member of St. James United Methodist Church in East Troy, Wis.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at St. James United Methodist Church in East Troy, Wis., from 11:00 AM until the time of the Memorial Service at 12:00 noon. Family burial will be held at a later date in West Union, IA.
George requested NO FLOWERS to be sent for his service, instead, memorial donations can be given to St. James United Methodist Church in East Troy, Wis., in memory of George.
