Gene A. Meeker, 64, of Central City, passed away at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, on Thursday, Oct. 9, 2014. The family will greet friends from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 13, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Central City, and one hour before the service at the church on Tuesday. Funeral services: 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 14, at St. Stephen's Catholic Church, Central City, with military honors by American Legion Wapsie Post 421 of Central City. Private family inurnment will take place at Mount Clark Cemetery, Central City, at a later date. Arrangements by Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City.
