Gary Paul Thompson, 74, of Marion, died unexpectedly Saturday, Nov. 21, 2015. A graveside service will be held on Friday, Nov. 27, 2015, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home.
Survivors include his wife, Vicki; his children, Robin (Barry) Michaelis of Kalona, Steve (Teresa) Thompson of Cedar Rapids, Melissa (Ron) Abernathy of Cedar Rapids, Travis Arnold of Marion, Richard (Denise) Arnold of North Liberty, Berry Arnold of Longmont, Colo., Bryan (Maria) Arnold of Lisbon and Joey Arnold, Hollywood, Calif. Also surviving is a sister, Karen (Dave) Long of Iowa City; 21 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Gary was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Curtis Arnold.
