Gary Richard Seibert, 77, of Bakersfield, Calif., formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2016, in Bakersfield. His body was cremated by Greenlawn Funeral Homes and Cemeteries, Bakersfield.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Seibert; daughter, Lori; brother, John E. Seibert; sisters, Donna Losch and Lonna Vizzari; and two grandchildren.
Gary was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at Mercy Hospital on Sept. 19, 1939. He graduated from Immaculate Conception High School in 1957. He later moved to Torrance, Calif., where he spent most of his adult working life. After retiring in 2002 at age 62, he moved with his wife, Carol, to Bakersfield to be close to their daughter, Lori, and her two children, Kyle and Travis.
