Gary R. Tallman, 64, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2017.
A funeral service celebrating Gary's life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories. Burial will be in Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel Stateroom.
Survivors include his wife, Cheri; son, Ben Tallman of Cedar Rapids; father, Loren Tallman of Floris, Iowa; and siblings, Vickie Mayo of Gassville, Ark., Sandra (Frank) Drees of Hiawatha, Mike Tallman of Marion, Mark (Denise) Reynolds of Cedar Rapids, Jeri King of Gassville, Ark., Jan (James) Klodt of Ottumwa and Paul (Christi) Tallman of Otley, Iowa.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Delores Tallman.
Gary Richard Tallman was born Sept. 9, 1952, in Cherokee, Iowa, the son of Loren and Delores (Curtis) Tallman. On Sept. 9, 1978, he married Cheri Willis in Cedar Rapids. Gary was owner and operator of Cedar Rapids Entry & Window for many years. He was a lifetime member of the N.R.A., and enjoyed trout fishing, camping, cigars and playing his guitar. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him.
