Gary Mueller, 72, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Central City, Iowa, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021, at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha, Iowa. A celebration of Gary's life will be held at a later date.
Gary was born on Jan. 16, 1949, in Mount Pleasant,
Iowa, the son of Herbert and Agnes (Lampe) Mueller. He graduated from Jefferson High School in Cedar Rapids. Gary served honorably in the U.S. Navy, from 1967 to 1971, during the Vietnam War. He worked for MidAmerican Energy for more than 30 years. Gary enjoyed riding his Harley, old cars, and spending time with his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
Gary is survived and lovingly remembered by his three children, Brandy (Mike) Silver of Central City, Kelly (Rebecca) Mueller of Cedar Rapids and Kenny (Erica) Mueller of Belle Plaine, Iowa; six grandchildren, Alyssa Silver, Cole Silver, Brook Silver, Carter Mueller, Mason Mueller and Asher Mueller; three sisters, Marilyn Calhoun of Mount Pleasant, Iowa, Karen (Don) Garrison of Texas, and Mary (Dan) Hatala of Waverly, Iowa; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Agnes Mueller; and brother, Marvin Mueller.
