Gary Halstead, brother, father, friend, and grandfather, received the call to eternity from our Lord, the Living Triune God, in the early hours of Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023. May his memory be eternal, may he rest in peace.
Gary was born on June 15, 1938, in Solon, Iowa. He was the son of the late Dale and Geneva Symth. He is survived by his daughter, Kristine (Mike) Kvach, of Cedar Rapids; a sister, Evelyn (Halstead) Dahle, of Minnesota; his ex-wife, Susan Wenger Vosdingh, of Coggon, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Doris Jean (Halstead) Kula. Private family services at a later date.
