Garrettson, Harold M.
Harold M. Garrettson, 91, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, died Tuesday, June 25, 2013, at Living Center West in Cedar Rapids. Services: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 29, at Murdoch-Linwood Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Cedar Rapids. The family will receive friends from 10 until 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, before the service. Burial: Linwood Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include his wife, Marlys; daughter, Carol Burke of Mission Viejo, Calif.; and grandchildren, Kristin Marsh, Kara Schwab, Tim Burke and Peter Burke.
Harold was preceded in death by his parents.
Born Jan. 17, 1922, in Wisconsin. Harold was the son of Henry and Nellie (Peterson) Garrettson. He served his country during World War II in the U.S. Army. In April 1947, he was united in marriage to Marlys Mitchell. For 45 years he was a minister at the Open Bible Church.
