Garms, LaVerne John
LaVerne John Garms, 91, of Monona, died Saturday, June 12, 2010, at Memorial Hospital, Prairie du Chien, Wis., following a brief illness. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 16, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Monona. The Rev. Allen Bidne will officiate. Burial will follow in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, June 15, at Leonard Funeral Home, Monona, and one hour before services Wednesday at the church.
Survivors include his wife, Ivanelle Garms, Monona; and five children, Wayne (Lois) Garms, Monona, Judy (Rex) Carlson, Woodbury, Minn., Keith (Kathy) Garms, Elkader, Kristy (Joey) Rigdon, Fairbank, and Laurie Garms (Phil Steffen), Dubuque.
