Patricia M. Garin, 72, of Lansing, died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2011, at Thornton Manor in Lansing. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 21, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Wexford. The Rev. John Moser will officiate at the service. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. today at the Thornburg-DeVries Funeral Home, where there will be a 5 p.m. Scripture service. Friends may also call one hour before service Wednesday at the church. Interment will be at the church cemetery.

Patricia Marie Gander was born Feb. 24, 1939, at Lansing, Iowa. She was the daughter of Frank and Kathryn Rooster Gander. She attended school in the Lansing area. On Nov. 8, 1958, she was united in marriage to Keith Garin at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lansing. Patricia and Keith enjoyed 53 years of marriage. She liked to play cards, garden, cook, spend time with family and play volleyball.

She is survived by three daughters, JoAnn (Gary) Perez of Cedar Rapids, Janette (Ken) Gully of Berryton, Kan., and Janice Erger of Atkins; two sons, Randy (Jody) Garin of Newhall, and Jim Garin of Norway; seven grandchildren, Tara (Jairo) Garcia, Cindy Gully, Kristin Gully, Leah Perez, Billy Erger, Kelsey Garin and Alyssa Garin; twin great-grandchildren, Christian and Nicholas Garcia; and two sisters, Marcella (Chuck) Jones of Long Beach, Calif., and Darlene (Bob) Russet of Waterloo.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Nicholas; her husband, Keith this past June 23, 2011; one sister, Lavina Harvey; and two brothers, Earl and Bill Gander.
