Gansen, Lucille Deonne
Lucille Deonne Gansen, 87, of Elma, died Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013, at Mercy Medical Center, New Hampton. Services will be held at Immaculate Conception Church, Elma.
Survivors include her children, Phillip (Linda), William (Alice), Daniel (Laura), Paul (Linda), Ellen (Steve) and Jon (Karri); a brother, Tom; sisters, Kathy (Jim) and Carole (Mike); 15 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Phillip; sons, Timothy and Christopher; great-granddaughter, Grace; and two sisters, Norma Jacobs and Alice Uecker.
She was born June 11, 1926, to Daniel and Iva (Chambers) Mahoney in Nashua, Iowa. Lucille was united in marriage to Phillip Gansen on Sept. 11, 1946, at Fort Campbell, Ky. The couple made their home in Charles City. In subsequent years, Phillip and Lucille farmed in the Riceville and Elma areas. Then in 1991, they moved to their present home in Elma.
