Ganoe, Charles E.
Charles E. Ganoe, 54, of Central City, passed away Friday, March 16, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 22, at Jordan's Grove Church, Central City. The family will greet friends 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Central City. Burial: Jordan's Grove Cemetery, Central City. Charles' family also will be at the FB & Co. in Waubeek on Thursday to greet family and friends starting at 3 p.m.
Survivors include his wife, Marie; parents, LaVern and Doris Ganoe of Central City; four children, Nick (Bobbie) Ganoe, Ian (Gina) Dye, Sarah Hooper and Dianne Dye, all of Central City; three grandchildren, Lauren Luke, Chloe Ganoe and Logan Hooper; siblings, Mickey Ganoe of Olathe, Kan., Jacki Beatty of Deer River, Minn., and Bill Ganoe of Cedar Rapids; and his dog, Kodie.
Charles was born March 28, 1957, in Manchester, Iowa, the son of LaVern and Doris (McAtee) Ganoe. He graduated from Central City High School, and married Marie Knapp on March 10, 2001, in Jamaica. Charles was a loving husband, devoted father, kindhearted grandfather and a friend to all. He was a very hard worker and an avid outdoorsman. Charles loved to spend time with his family, travel, hunt and ride his motorcycle.
