Gaimari, Adeline M.
Adeline M. Gaimari, 78, of West Branch, formerly of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, July 17, 2013, at Mercy Iowa City. Funeral Mass: 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 20, at All Saints Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids by the Rev. John R. Flaherty. Visitation will be from 5:30 until 7:30 p.m. today at Murdoch Funeral Home & Cremation Center in Marion, with a vigil service starting at 5:30 p.m. Additional visitation: one hour before the service at the church on Saturday. Burial: Mount Calvary Cemetery in Cedar Rapids.
Survivors include four children, Ellen (Jeff) Collins of West Branch, Janet (Robert) Johnston of Camarillo, Calif., David Gaimari of Spokane, Wash., and Kristin (Glenn) Varner of Marion; 11 grandchildren, Leigha (Ryan) Wagner, Adam (Jodi) Collins, Sarah Collins, Emily and Elliot Johnston, Brittany and Tony Gaimari, Gerard and Graham Gaimari and Jacob and Kristie Varner; two great-grandchildren, Ryder Wagner and Kinley Collins; sister, Dorothy (Norman) Shestak of Pickeral, Wis.; and a brother, Larry Biderman of Thousand Oaks, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Anton; and a son, Gregg.
Adeline was born May 18, 1935, the daughter of Frank and Agnes (Pospisil) Biderman in Mount Vernon, Iowa. She graduated from Mount Vernon High School in 1952 and attended Iowa State University. She graduated from Mount Mercy College in 1956. On June 8, 1957, she married Anton G. Gaimari in Lisbon. He died Aug. 17, 2005. Adeline was extremely proud to be a nurse and a Mount Mercy alumni. She enjoyed gardening, shopping, dancing, and traveling. Adeline's greatest joy was her family, especially her grandchildren.
