Gail Gwendolyn Hauschild, 96, died July 3, 2017, at Hallmark Care Center, Mount Vernon.
She was born Feb. 19, 1921, to Edward and Lillian Jacobs Hagge in Tama. She graduated from Toledo High School in 1938. On Nov. 2, 1940, she married Gordon Otto Hauschild in Des Moines. She was a cook for Sigourney Community Schools for 15 years, retiring in 1989. She had lived in Cedar Rapids for the past 10 years.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, WMW, Sigourney Women's Club and card clubs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Gordon, on March 16, 1979; two grandchildren; and a brother, Gordon Hagge.
She is survived by three children, Gary Hauschild of Hiawatha, Graig Hauschild of Lisbon and Gwen Fox of San Jose, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
Private family services will be at a later date.
