Gail E. Hanson, 85, of Marion, passed away June 4, 2014, at St. Luke's Hospice, Cedar Rapids. A
private family burial will take place at Cedar Me-morial Park Cemetery, Cedar Rapids.
He was born in Watertown, S.D., on Feb. 24, 1929, to Leonard and Effie Hanson. Gail married Mae Herbold on July 23, 1950, in Marion. He was a hard-working self-employed carpenter for many years. He enjoyed making wood crafts.
We miss him a lot and love him a lot.
Gail is survived by his wife, Mae; sons, Terry Hanson and Jerry Hanson, both of Marion; sisters, Bonnie Nussele and Karen Rogers; and brother, Larry Hanson.
He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Darrell, Ken and Richard; and one sister, Carol.
Memorial donations may be made to St. Luke's Hospice.
