G. KEITH YOUNG

G. Keith Young was born May 30, 1942, in Kahoka, Mo., the son of Gilbert and Beulah (Dice) Young. He attended rural school and graduated from Kahoka High School. Keith was united in marriage to Elsie Briner on Dec. 15, 1972, in Princeton, Mo. He had worked at the Lucas County Memorial Hospital, Iowa County Ambulance Service, Sullivan Graphics and he retired from the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. He attended the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Williamsburg. Keith enjoyed reading, a good joke and watching tennis. Keith passed away Monday, Feb. 16, 2015, at Mercy Iowa City at the age of 72 years.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie of Williamsburg; two daughters, Dixie (Ed) Bandy of Nefive grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; four stepgreat-grandchildren; and a sister, Virgie Courtney of Kahoka, Mo.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ken; and two sisters, Lorena and Verena.
Celebration of Life visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, at the Powell Funeral Home and Cremation Service. Burial will be at a later date.
A general memorial has been established.
