Fulton, Kenneth Marshall
Kenneth Marshall Fulton, 81, of Iowa City, passed away Feb. 7, 2012, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, Palliative Care. Memorial services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 11, at Memory Gardens Mausoleum in Iowa City, with Pastor Harold Scheer officiating.
Ken was born Sept. 3, 1930, in Iowa City, Iowa to Jesse and Laura (Kindl) Fulton. He graduated from City High in Iowa City in 1948 and was a lifetime resident of Iowa City. Following graduation he spent six years in the U.S. Army and drove a dump truck for John Stevens Sand and Gravel for 25 years. Ken married Marilyn Kauzlarich on Jan. 12, 1987.
Ken enjoyed boating at Coralville Lake on his houseboat, golfing, and bowling. He was an avid Iowa Hawkeye fan and was one of the original “Knothole Club” kids along with his twin brother Keith. He enjoyed 17 winters in Lake Placid, Fla., with his wife, Marilyn.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn, of 25 years; three stepdaughters, Mona (Paul) Dahlin of Buffalo, N.Y., Karen (Delwin) Van Wyk of Oskaloosa and Kathy (Gordy) Hix of Solon; two stepgranddaughters and one step-great-granddaughter. He is also survived by four sisters-in- law, Josephine, Rita, Jeanette and Toni.
Ken was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Laura; five brothers, Charles, Richard, Gene, his twin brother Keith and Bill; a sister, Betty; and a stepson, Alan Kauzlarich.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Iowa City Rehab and Health Care of Iowa City for the loving care they provided Ken over the last 2 1/2 years.
