Fuller Sr., Robert E.
Robert E. Fuller Sr., 76, known as “Cobb” by family and friends, of 1015 Center St. NE, died Thursday, May 3, 2012, at St. Luke's Hospital after a long illness. Graveside services, with military rites: 11 a.m. Saturday, May 26, at Cedar Memorial Park Cemetery. Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include his wife, Sandra; a son, Robert Jr. of Cedar Rapids; two sisters, Ella Mae Sperry of Cedar Rapids and Dorothy Von Lienen of Macon, Mo.; several nieces and nephews, including special niece, Stacy Fuller; and a great-niece, Phoebe.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Marion and Bub; and a sister, Marge.
Bob was born March 29, 1936, in Iowa City, the son of Claude and Loreen (Blair) Fuller. He married Sandra R. Hollrah on Sept. 9, 1961, in Kansas City, Mo. Bob was a machinist at Amana Refrigeration for over 41 years, retiring in 1994.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting, refurbishing old John Deere tractors and yard work, as well as proudly serving in the Navy during the Korean War.
Bob was a wonderful husband, father, brother, and friends who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established.
