Fuller, Barbara Meeks
Barbara Meeks Fuller, 50, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at the Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Hiawatha. Visitation will be held Saturday, Feb. 23, from 2 to 5 p.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Funeral Home. Memorial services will be Monday, Feb. 25, at 11 a.m. at Cedar Memorial Park Chapel of Memories, with Pastor Tye Male of New Covenant Bible Church officiating.
Barbara Meeks Fuller was born June 19, 1962, to Buel and Rosemary Victorine Meeks in Cedar Rapids. She was united in marriage to Gordon Fuller on Oct. 25, 1986. Barbara worked for Cedar Rapids Schools for 12 ½ years as an associate teacher. She enjoyed being part of the children's church at New Covenant Bible Church and assisted with artwork and set design. Barb was a talented glasswork artist.
She will be forever missed.
She is survived by her loving husband, Gordon; son, Alex Fuller of Chicago; daughters, September and Theresa Fuller, both of Cedar Rapids; a grandson, Aiden Fuller; mother, Rosemary Meeks of Marion; siblings, Sally (Jim) Meeks-Johnson of Indianapolis, Bill (Teri) Meeks of Cedar Rapids, Roger (Jan) Meeks of Tacoma, Wash., Debra (Jim) Gawne of Phoenix, Ariz., and Theresa (Ray) Meeks-Mosley of Iowa City.
Barb was preceded in death by her father, Buel.
Memorial donations may be directed to the Hall-Perrine Cancer Center.
